Segment gate

Sectioning of a channel (3-sided sealing) or a submerged orifice (4-sided sealing). Reduced maneuvering effort (cylindrical plate transferring all forces to the axis of rotation) and possibility of regulating operation.


Advantages :

— Construction possible with large dimensions or high pressures.


Overall dimension :

— 1000×1000 to 4000×4000 mm.
— Squared or rectangular section.


Design :

Standard :
+ Frame, gate leaf and arms: S355J2+N steel.
+ Seal: 65 Sh neoprene.

Option(s) :
+ Stainless steel 304L.


Sealing :

— Channel: 3-sided sealing (0.1 l/s/ml seal).
— In immersed orifice: sealed on 4 sides (0.1 l/s/ml seal).


Permissible water head in the immersed orifice :

— Standard: 3mCE.
— Option: higher load on request.


Functional features :

— Standard: upward opening.
— Option: downward opening (submersible segment gate valve).
