Water overspeed mechanical sensor

A watertight device to be mounted on a vertical pipe connection, comprising a jointed vane placed in the flow and connected externally to a cam and a counterweight. An increase in speed above an adjustable value causes the counterweight to tilt, opening a hydraulic distributor which can control the closing of an automatic valve (butterfly valve with counterweight, wagon valve, sector valve, etc.). Sensors are used to monitor system status (” on ” or ” off ” ) and fluid velocity (measured from the angle of the vane). A mechanical holding device can also be added to guarantee system stability in the event of hydraulic system leaks.
