Automatically removes objects carried by the fluid and held by a grid. A grapple descends by gravity along the dam wall and rolls over the grid. It is then pulled up by wire hoists installed on a fixed or mobile structure at the top of the dam. The average distance between the bottom of the grid and the structure supporting the hoists depends on the height of the dam. The grid is cleaned when the grapple is lowered; waste is lifted up and discharged at the control device into a container integrated into the structure.
