COANDA type intake screen

Captures and filters river water using a self-cleaning fine grid protected by a coarse grid. Flow capacity is increased by the Coanda effect.


Advantage(s) :

— High degree of filtration (1 to 3 mm air gap), reducing the need for degritting and sand removal.
— Protection of equipment downstream of the water intake.
— Minimal ecological impact: the shape of the fine grid allows aquatic fauna and sediments to slide through.


Overall dimension :

— Standard module: width 1250 mm.
— Standard Coanda grid model: width 3750 mm (i.e. 3 modules of 1250 mm).


Design :

Standard :
+ Coarse grid: galvanized S355 steel.
+ Fine grid: 304L stainless steel.

Option(s) :
+ Stainless steel 316L.
